Sri Lanka’s economy grew by 5.4 percent in the third quarter of 2025, driven by positive performance across agriculture, industry and services, according to the Department of Census and Statistics .
The DCS said GDP at constant prices rose to Rs. 3,325,611 million in the July–September period, up from Rs. 3,154,148 million a year earlier, while GDP at current prices increased by 12.6 percent to Rs. 8,400,030 million. Industry recorded the strongest growth at 8.1 percent, followed by agriculture at 3.6 percent and services at 3.5 percent during the quarter. (Newswire)
