Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga was snapped up by Lucknow Super Giants for INR 2 crore at the IPL mini-auction on Tuesday, a significantly lower figure compared to his previous IPL earnings.
Hasaranga, one of the leading white-ball bowlers in world cricket, had commanded a much higher price in earlier editions of the tournament, reflecting his strong performances in both international cricket and the IPL.
