The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Sri Lanka Postal Department and the Saudi Post Corporation to issue two commemorative stamps.
The stamps, featuring historical sites from both countries, are intended to mark fifty years of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia in 2024.
According to the government, the initiative aims to further strengthen bilateral ties and foster goodwill between the peoples of the two nations.
The proposal was presented by the Minister of Health and Mass Media and received Cabinet approval, paving the way for the two postal authorities to collaborate on the commemorative issue. (Newswire)
