Cabinet has approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Agency and Japan’s Enterprise United Cooperative to expand job opportunities for Sri Lankan youth in Japan.

Under the agreement, training programmes covering technical skills, Japanese language and culture will be conducted at the Sapugaskanda National Youth Service Training Centre in collaboration with the National Youth Service Council.

The initiative aims to ensure safe and formal migration pathways while addressing skilled labour shortages in Japan. (Newswire)
