Water supply will be disrupted in several areas following a sudden breakdown in the main transmission pipeline from Ambatale, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board said.
Accordingly, water supply will be interrupted in Moratuwa, Rawatawatta, Soysapura, Ratmalana, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Wellawatte, Pamankada, Mulleriyawa and Kolonnawa.
Meanwhile, consumers in Battaramulla will experience low water pressure.
The NWSDB said repair work is underway and urged the public to use available water sparingly until the system is fully restored. (Newswire)
