Sri Lanka Police has sought the assistance of the public to arrest a suspect wanted over an acid attack carried out against a woman in the Mawathagama Police Division on December 10, 2025.
According to the Police, facts were presented to the Pilessa Magistrate’s Court after the incident, while the suspect is reported to have fled the area.
As such, the Police have requested public assistance to apprehend the suspect, who is a resident of Kalawana.
It is also reported that the suspect has been issued arrest warrants by the Kalawana and Ratnapura Magistrate Courts.
