Minister of Energy Kumara Jayakody has assured that the government will implement its promise of reducing electricity tariffs.
Addressing the Parliament today, Minister Jayakody said that per the government’s policy statement, electricity tariffs will be reduced by 30% within 3 years.
“Don’t be in a hurry, be patient a little longer. Our policy statement states that we will reduce the electricity bill by 30% within 3 years,” he said.
