Four people died and one person was injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a car in the Murasumoddai area on the Paranthan-Mullaitivu main road, police said.
The fatal crash occurred when the car and a passenger bus collided directly on the busy stretch of the A-35 road, local police sources reported. All four occupants of the car were killed on the spot, while one passenger sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
