A video showing a motorcyclist using a weapon-like object to attack several moving vehicles along the Kaduwela–Colpetty road is circulating on social media.
Police said the incident occurred on the evening of January 12. Officers from the Welikada Police Station pursued the suspect and arrested him shortly afterwards.
Initial reports indicate that four vehicles were damaged during the incident. The suspect, a 29-year-old resident of Ragama, is due to be produced before court today.
