The satyagraha campaign launched by National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa, together with representatives of civil organizations, has now been concluded.
Following the government’s announcement that the new education reforms related to Grade 6 will be postponed until next year, former minister Wimal Weerawansa ended the satyagraha.
The satyagraha, which began yesterday, was staged demanding the immediate withdrawal of the new education reform process and calling for Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya to resign from her post as Minister of Education. (Newswire)
