Police have arrested three more suspects for allegedly aiding and abetting a shooting incident in which a 16-year-old girl was injured outside a house in the Kohuwala, Bodiyaththa area on the night of December 30, 2025.
The suspects were arrested on January 15, 2026, during operations carried out in the Dematagoda and Wellampitiya police divisions by the Moratuwa camp of the Police Special Task Force (STF). They have since been handed over to the Kohuwala Police for further investigations.
The arrested individuals are aged 27, 32 and 35, and are residents of the Colombo 09 and Colombo 12 areas.
Police said a total of nine suspects have now been arrested in connection with the shooting, following investigations conducted by police teams and the STF. (Newswire)
