
Sri Lanka’s lowest temperature in the past 24 hours was recorded in Nuwara Eliya at 8.0°C, according to the Department of Meteorology.
According to the Met Department, Bandarawela recorded a low of 11.6°C, Badulla 14.4°C and Polonnaruwa 19.4°C.
Dry weather is expected in many parts of the island, with possible ground frost in some areas of the Nuwara Eliya District during the early morning hours.
The Met Department also noted that misty conditions are likely in several provinces, including the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, North Western, North Central and Uva provinces, as well as in Galle and Matara. (NewsWire)
