The National Election Commission has announced that five political parties were recognised as registered political parties in the year 2025.
Issuing a statement, the Election Commission said the political parties were registered according to Section 7(4)(a) of the Parliamentary Elections Act No. 1 of 1981.
The newly registered political parties are the Socialist Alliance, People’s Participatory Democratic Front, Malaiyaga Political Arena, Samaththuva Kadchi, and Revolutionary Peoples Power. (Newswire)
