The Overall Rate of Inflation, as measured by the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) on a year-on-year basis, increased to 2.9% in December 2025.
According to the Department of Census and Statistics, the increase is compared to the 2.4% recorded in November 2025.
Meanwhile, food inflation has also increased to 4.4% in December 2025, in comparison to the 3.6% reported the previous month.
Non-food inflation has also increased to 1.6% in December 2025 from the 1.5% reported in November 2025.
