Sri Lankan travellers are being reminded to know the rules before entering the United States on a B1/B2 visitor visa.
Issuing a statement, the US Embassy in Colombo clarified that while the visa allows individuals to conduct business meetings and negotiate contracts, it does not permit actual work.
The US Embassy further warned that those who engage in unauthorized employment risk deportation and could face a permanent ban from re‑entering the country in the future. (Newswire)
