The Government has issued a new special circular aimed at restoring livelihoods disrupted by adverse weather conditions and providing relief to businesses affected by recent disasters.
The directive, released under Budget Circular No. 08/2025 dated December 5, 2025, together with its amendments, introduces fresh guidelines to strengthen the relief framework.
Officials said the program’s primary objective is to extend broad concessions to enterprises temporarily halted due to disaster situations, enabling entrepreneurs to recover and rebuild their income streams more effectively.
The circular also addresses issues that arose in granting allowances under sub‑section 8 of the earlier framework, offering revisions and clarifications to ensure the process is implemented with greater efficiency and transparency.
Authorities noted that the initiative is expected to empower affected business owners, stabilize communities, and accelerate the return to normalcy in disaster‑stricken areas. (Newswire)
