A 37-year-old man has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport with more than 8 kilograms of kush, police said.
The suspect was taken into custody by the Police Narcotics Bureau’s airport unit early on January 25 following a tip-off.
Police said the suspect had arrived in Sri Lanka by air and was found in possession of 8 kilograms and 220 grams of the drug.
The suspect is a resident of the Galgethoda area. Further investigations are being carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau’s airport unit. (Newswire)
