
The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) reports that 173 people remain missing in the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah, with the highest number of cases reported in the Kandy District.
According to the latest update, 69 individuals are missing in Kandy, which has also recorded the highest number of deaths at 243.
In Kegalle, 38 people remain unaccounted for, with 33 confirmed fatalities. The Nuwara Eliya District has reported 32 missing persons and 81 deaths.
Meanwhile, the Badulla District recorded the highest number of affected individuals, with 90,127 people from 26,393 families impacted by the cyclone. (Newswire)
