A shooting incident was reported around 2:35 a.m. yesterday (Jan. 25) near a music academy located on R.A. De Mel Mawatha in Colpetty, according to Police.
Two unidentified individuals arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire with a T-56 assault rifle, targeting the building and the gate of the music academy, it was reported.
Initial investigations revealed that approximately 15 rounds were fired at the scene. No injuries were reported in the incident.
An investigation has been launched following a phone call reporting empty bullet casings found in front of the academy. Officers, including the officer in charge of the station, responded to the scene.
CCTV footage in the area recorded the rear passenger of the motorcycle firing shots toward the building and gate.
