Police in Peliaygoda arrested three women on Saturday during a raid on a premises allegedly operating as a brothel under the guise of a massage centre, police said.
The raid was carried out on the evening of Jan. 25 in the Thorana Junction area by officers from the Peliaygoda Police Station. Authorities said the suspects were arrested on suspicion of managing and engaging in prostitution at the premises.
The women, aged 21, 36 and 47, are residents of Wattala, Gasella and Bogawantalawa, according to police.
Further investigations are underway, police said. (Newswire)
