
Mainly dry weather will prevail in most parts of Sri Lanka today, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Fairly strong winds of about 30-40 kmph can be expected at times over the Eastern slopes of the central hills, the Northern, North-central, North-western, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district.
Misty conditions can be expected in some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in the Galle, Matara and Anuradhapura districts in the morning.
Meanwhile, mainly fair weather will prevail in the sea areas around the island.
Winds will be north-easterl,y and wind speed will be 30-40 kmph. Wind speed can increase up to 50 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Kaluthara to Mannar via Colombo and Puttalam, and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
