The Department of Railways has announced that trains operating on the coastal line between may experience delays of up to 15 minutes during the morning and evening hours on January 31 and February 1.
The delays are due to essential signal system upgrades being carried out to increase the number of trains that can operate between Colombo Fort and Wellawatte on both up and down lines between these stations.
The department apologized for any inconvenience caused to passengers during this period and requested public understanding as the improvements are aimed at enhancing long-term service efficiency. (Newswire)
