Dollar rate today : Rupee holds steady with minor gains

The Sri Lankan Rupee showed mixed stability, with slight appreciation against the US Dollar at most commercial banks in Sri Lanka today (Feb 5), compared to Tuesday.

According to Seylan Bank the buying rate of the US dollar increased from Rs. 306.35 to Rs. 306.75 while the selling rate decreased from Rs. 312.85 to Rs. 311.50

According to NDB Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar increased from Rs. 306.05 to Rs. 306.25 while the selling rate increased from Rs. 312.55. to Rs. 312.75

People’s Bank reports the buying rate of the US Dollar decreased from Rs. 306.09 to Rs. 305.99 while the selling rate too decreased from Rs. 312.84 to Rs. 312.74.

At Commercial Bank the buying rate and selling rates remained unchanged at Rs. 304.36 and Rs. 312.75 respectively.

According to Sampath Bank the buying and selling rates of the US dollar remained unchanged at Rs. 306.25 and Rs. 312.75. (Newswire)
