The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced that water supply will be suspended for 22 hours in several areas of the Kandy District from tomorrow morning (08).
According to the NWSDB, the interruption will be in effect from 6.00 a.m. on February 8 until 4.00 a.m. on February 9.
Areas affected include Asgiriya (Municipal Council area), Wegiriya, Pallemulla (new and old), Yatihalgala, Kondadeniya, Rajapihilla Service Reservoir, Medawala (old) Service Reservoir, as well as Kahawatta, Kurugoda, Bulugohotanna, Girakaduwa, Kahalla, Thelambugahawatta, Nugawela, Balanagala, Medawala (new) Service Reservoir, Galagedara and Mawathagama.
The NWSDB expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and requested the public to use water sparingly during this period. (NewsWire)
