
Mainly dry weather will prevail in most parts of Sri Lanka today, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-central and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts in the morning.
Meanwhile, mainly fair weather will prevail over the sea areas around the island.
Winds will be north-easterly, and wind speed will be 30-40 kmph. Wind speed can increase up to 45-50 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Kaluthara to Mannar via Colombo and Puttalam, and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
