The Department of Motor Traffic has expanded its service for issuing temporary driving licenses based on valid international foreign permits, effective February 2, 2026.
Previously limited to offices at Werahera and the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, the service is now also available at regional offices in Kurunegala, Hambantota, Gampaha, Anuradhapura, and Jaffna, the Ministry of Transport said. (Newswire)
