The Western Province Governor, Hanif Yousuf, announced that officials from the province held a constructive meeting with the Alibaba Group to explore opening global market access for Sri Lankan SMEs through the Alibaba platform.
“Our goal is to help export‑ready small businesses connect with international buyers, build their digital capacity, and scale beyond Sri Lanka,” Governor Yousuf said in a post on ‘X’.
He added that as Governor, he is committed to creating an enabling environment for entrepreneurs in the Western Province to reach global markets with confidence. (Newswire)
