Massive interest continues to build for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 clash between India and Pakistan in Colombo, with tickets being released in batches on the official ICC platform.
As of 12 p.m. today, the ticketing site displayed a “Coming Soon” message for the February 15 match at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. Notably, there was no “Sold Out” notification on the official platform, indicating that further batches of tickets may still be released under the system’s phased distribution process.
Organisers have been releasing tickets in stages for high-demand matches, and fans are closely monitoring the portal in anticipation of additional availability.
The surge in demand comes despite Sri Lanka’s February 16 fixture against Australia in Kandy being officially sold out.
Black market prices have reportedly exceeded USD 200 for tickets originally priced at Rs. 1,500, reflecting the extraordinary demand for the marquee India Vs Pakistan encounter.
Large numbers of visitors from India and Pakistan have already arrived in Sri Lanka ahead of the match, adding to the heightened anticipation surrounding the fixture.
Sri Lankan fans have expressed frustration over limited availability but remain hopeful that further ticket batches will be made available through the official system. (Newswire)
