Three individuals, including a woman, were arrested at Bandaranaike International Airport by the Airport Police Narcotics Division in Wellampitiya for allegedly possessing more than 16 kilograms of ‘Kush’ cannabis.
Police said the seized narcotics, weighing 16 kilograms and 400 grams, have an estimated street value exceeding Rs. 160 million. The drugs were found concealed in luggage, in 60 separate parcels during an inspection.
The suspects, aged 33, 28 and 35, are residents of Colombo and Wellampitiya. (Newswire)
