
Dr. Parakrama Dissanayake officially assumed office as chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority on Tuesday.
Dr. Dissanayake previously served as chairman of the SLPA on two separate occasions and brings experience in maritime operations, logistics and corporate management.
He has held senior positions in both the public and private sectors, including leadership roles at Aitken Spence PLC and its subsidiaries. He has also served in national port management and advisory positions.
Internationally, Dr. Dissanayake was the first non-British president of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and has participated in United Nations maritime advisory initiatives. (Newswire)
