Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development Bimal Rathnayake visited the Madampitiya Applewatta Housing Complex to inspect its ongoing progress under the Urban Regeneration Programme.
The housing project, which comprises 2,100 housing units, is being implemented with financial assistance from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
Deputy Minister of Urban Development Eranga Gunasekara and several officials also participated in the inspection visit.
The project is part of the government’s broader urban renewal initiative aimed at providing improved housing facilities for low-income communities. (Newswire)
