An 11-member Special Parliamentary Select Committee has been appointed to examine and report on the electoral system to be used for Provincial Council elections and to submit proposals and recommendations.
Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne informed Parliament on Friday (20) that the committee has been established under the chairmanship of Minister Vijitha Herath.
The members of the committee are:

• Mano Ganesan
• Lakshman Nipuna Arachchi
• Shanakiyan Rasamanickam
