Dollar rate : Rupee edges lower

The Sri Lankan Rupee has depreciated slightly against the US Dollar across most major commercial banks today (Feb 23) compared to Friday.

According to Seylan Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar remained unchanged at Rs. 306.60 and Rs. 311.35 respectively.

At NDB Bank, the buying rate of the US dollar increased slightly from, Rs. 306.1 to Rs. 306.15 while the selling rate too increased from Rs. 312.6 to Rs. 312.65.

People’s Bank reports the buying rate increasing from Rs. 305.79 to Rs. 305.89 while the selling rate also increased from Rs. 312.53 to Rs. 312.63.

Meanwhile at Commercial Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar remained unchanged at Rs. 304.11 and Rs. 312.50 respectively. (Newswire)
