A suspect was arrested together with 5 kilograms of hash drugs and a scooter-type motorcycle in the Kirulapone area on Wednesday (25 Feb).
Based on information received by the Army Intelligence Division, the suspect was arrested in a joint operation conducted with Gonahena Special Forces officers, at the Children’s Park at Balapokuna Roadin Kirulapone.
According to the Sri Lanka Army, the seized narcotics are valued at around Rs. 30 million.
Further investigations regarding the incident are being carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau. (Newswire)
