
Showers are expected in a few parts of Sri Lanka today, while mainly dry weather will prevail over the other parts of the nation, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Hambantota, Nuwara Eliya and Ampara districts after 2.00 pm.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Uva, North-western and North-central provinces and in the Mannar and Vavuniya districts in the morning.
Meanwhile, mainly fair weather will prevail over the sea areas around the island.
Winds will be variable in direction, and wind speed will be 20-30 kmph.
