36 Referees and Judges Graduate to Strengthen Sri Lanka Boxing Standards

The passing-out ceremony of a new batch of 36 Referees and Judges was successfully held as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the standards of officiating in Sri Lankan boxing.

The program was conducted under the guidance of the President of the Boxing Association, Dr. Anuruddha Shanaka Bandara, and under the supervision of the President of the Referees and Judges Commission, Captain Indrasena.

The training sessions were conducted by the visiting instructor from India, Mr. Leniy Da Gama, a highly experienced and respected senior instructor in the field of boxing officiating. The program was conducted in accordance with the World Boxing rulebook, ensuring that the newly trained officials meet international standards.

This initiative aims to enhance the quality and professionalism of refereeing and judging in the sport, ensuring fair and accurate evaluation of boxers. It also seeks to uplift the overall performance standards of Sri Lankan boxing and contribute to the development of athletes.
