The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for warm weather in the Sabaragamuwa Province and in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, Vavuniya, Hambantota and Monaragala districts.
Per the advisory, effective until tomorrow (07 Mar), the Heat Index, the temperature felt on the human body, is likely to increase up to ‘Caution level’ at some places in 09 districts.
As such, people may experience fatigue with prolonged exposure and activity, while continuing activity could result in heat cramps. (Newswire)
