Showers are expected in some parts of Sri Lanka today, while mainly dry weather will prevail over the other parts of the country, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Southern Province and in the Ratnapura and Kalutara districts during the evening or night.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Northern, North-central, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and North-western Provinces in the morning.
Meanwhile, mainly fair weather will prevail over the sea areas around the island.
Winds will be variable in direction, and wind speed will be 20-30 kmph.
