A driver was killed in Dubai after debris from a drone interception fell near the Lulu Hypermarket area in Al Barsha, authorities confirmed.
Officials said the victim, described as an Asian national, died after debris struck near the 19-storey Azayez Tower following a drone attack in the area.
In a separate incident, a large piece of flaming debris was seen falling onto the side of the 23 Marina Tower in Dubai Marina, causing visible damage to the upper floors of the high-rise building.
Flames and smoke were also seen coming from the 90-storey tower near Dubai Marina after what authorities described as a successful interception of a drone.
The Dubai Media Office said the fire was quickly contained and confirmed there were no casualties from the incident at the Marina tower.
The incidents occurred as the United Arab Emirates responded to incoming drone threats amid escalating regional tensions. (Newswire)
