
Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya held talks with several Philippine institutions during her official visit to the Philippines aimed at strengthening cooperation in education, higher education and research.
Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in education policy, technical skills development and agricultural research.
PM met Sonny Angara, Secretary of Education of Philippines, where talks covered teacher training programmes, curriculum reforms and digital learning initiatives.
She also outlined ongoing education reforms aimed at modernising curricula and integrating technology into learning.
During the visit, she also met Shirley C. Agrupis and officials of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
