A university student has been arrested with hashish and kush narcotics in the Peradeniya area, Police said.
The arrest was made during a raid conducted on the night of March 7 based on information received by the Officer-in-Charge of the Peradeniya Police Station.
Police said the suspect was found in possession of 85 grams and 260 milligrams of hashish and 11 grams and 210 milligrams of kush.
The suspect is a 23-year-old resident of Hokandara.
He was produced before the Kandy Magistrate’s Court, and Police have obtained a five-day detention order until March 12 to conduct further investigations.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Peradeniya Police. (Newswire)
