Over 40kg of heroin among drugs destroyed by Sri Lankan police

Sri Lankan police have destroyed a large quantity of illegal drugs seized in previous operations after court cases linked to the seizures were concluded.

Authorities said the haul included more than 40kg of heroin, 132kg of cannabis, 55g of cocaine and 3,482 narcotic pills.
