Three committees appointed to address Middle East war fallout : PM

Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya announced in Parliament that three committees have been appointed to address a potential economic crisis arising from the ongoing war situation in the Middle East. 

PM Amarasuriya said the committees are already taking steps to implement necessary measures.

One committee has been tasked with ensuring the uninterrupted supply of essential goods and services to the public, while another will oversee the management of services required to maintain the functioning of the public service.

In addition, a third committee has been appointed to meet the country’s energy requirements, she said. (Newswire)
