The Government Information Centre (GIC) has introduced a WhatsApp service to assist vehicle owners with registering for the National Fuel Pass.
Those facing difficulties in registration can send their vehicle number (typed, not as a photo) to 076 000 1919 via WhatsApp.
According to officials from the Ministry of Digital Economy, they must also submit clear images of the following documents:
- National Identity Card (NIC), driving license, or passport
- Valid revenue license
- Vehicle registration certificate (CR)
The ministry officials stressed that registration will only be processed for the registered owner of the vehicle, and the NIC number must match the details on the CR.
All personal data provided will be protected under the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022.
Data will be collected solely for validation purposes, and once verification is complete, all personal information except the vehicle number will be securely removed from the system.
