Police have seized nearly 500 litres of fuel during a raid in the Katuwawa Salmalyaya area of Hambantota.
The operation was carried out based on intelligence received from the Military Intelligence Division.
According to police, more than 480 litres of diesel and around 20 litres of petrol were found hidden inside a house.
The suspect taken into custody, along with the seized fuel, is scheduled to be produced before the Hambantota Magistrate’s Court. (Newswire)
