The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says reports claiming that fuel will not be released from the storage terminals tomorrow (21) and the day after (22) are completely false.
Managing Director of the CPC, Mayura Neththikumara, said fuel is being supplied continuously to filling stations across the island.
He further said fuel is being issued today (20) only to vehicles with an even number as the last digit of their registration number.
By issuing fuel according to the QR code and the odd/even system, congestion has been reduced, and everyone has been given the opportunity to obtain fuel more conveniently, he said. (Newswire)
