Two suspects were arrested with nearly 720 litres of diesel concealed inside a shop in the Ambulgama junction area of Hanwella, police said.
The diesel stock had allegedly been stored for the purpose of illegal sale, police said.
Officers recovered the fuel from the premises, where it had been stored in around 40 containers, including plastic cans and barrels.
The two suspects are due to be produced before the Homagama Magistrate’s Court on Saturday (21). Police said further investigations are underway. (NewsWire)
