Sinopec has announced a significant increase in fuel prices in Sri Lanka, with steep hikes for Octane 95 petrol and Super Diesel.
According to the revision, the price of Octane 95 petrol has been increased by Rs. 122 per litre to Rs. 487, while Super Diesel has been raised by Rs. 219 per litre to Rs. 572.
In comparison, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has set the price of Octane 95 at Rs. 455 and Super Diesel at Rs. 443, creating a notable gap of Rs. 32 and Rs. 129 respectively between the two suppliers.
Meanwhile, Lanka IOC has said it will maintain fuel prices in line with CPC rates.
Sinopec has kept prices for Octane 92 petrol and Auto Diesel unchanged, aligning them with CPC pricing for those categories. (Newswire)
