The Colombo High Court has fixed April 30 to take up a bribery case filed against Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Chamara Sampath Dasanayake.
The case, filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), was taken up on Tuesday (24) before High Court Judge Ravindra Premaratne.
After considering the submissions, the judge ordered that the case be called on April 30 for a pre-trial conference.
Dasanayake has been charged over allegations that he deposited a cheque issued for the Uva Provincial Council into his personal bank account while serving as Chief Minister in 2016. (NewsWire)
