Dollar rate today : Selling rate drops to Rs. 316 in most banks

The Sri Lankan rupee has appreciated slightly against the US dollar across commercial banks in Sri Lanka today (25), with the selling rate steady at Rs. 317.

According to Seylan Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar have reduced from Rs. 310.75 to Rs. 310.50 and from Rs. 316.50 to Rs. 316.25, respectively.

At NDB Bank, the buying rate and selling rates of the US dollar have reduced from Rs. 310.50 to Rs. 310.25 and from Rs. 317 to Rs. 316.75, respectively.

People’s Bank reports the buying rate of the US Dollar has reduced from Rs. 310.39 to Rs. 309.89, while the selling rate has dropped from Rs. 317.23 to Rs. 316.73.

Meanwhile, at Commercial Bank, the buying and selling rates have reduced from Rs. 309.33 to Rs. 307.84 and from Rs. 317.75 to Rs. 316.25, respectively.

At Sampath Bank, the buying rate and selling rates have reduced from Rs. 311.25 to Rs. 310.50 and from Rs. 317.75 to Rs. 317. (Newswire)
